Residence Life is putting on its 10th annual iBingo event this Thursday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. in the Bannister Glasshouse. The entire Reinhardt University family is invited to come out and enjoy a fun night with music and prizes.

Billy Jones, residence Life Coordinator for Cobb, Roberts and Paul Jones halls, will be organizing the event this year, as he has done in past years.  Jones came up with the idea when he was a resident assistant in the West apartments in 2008.  iBingo was a huge success that year and has been brought back each year since.

“iBingo is a high-energy musical spin on the traditional Bingo game,” said Jones.  “Residence Life produces the event each spring semester.  This year, Dylan Cronan and Dakori West will be hosting, and Ethan Alexander will be DJ-ing.  Players create their own iBingo boards by putting musical artists and bands in each square.  The DJ will play songs, and players will mark the correct artist or band.  We have four rounds, and each round focuses on a genre.  The final round is a mix of every genre; the winner of the final round wins some sweet Beats Studio headphones.  Winners of the first four rounds and the mini-games will win a set of awesome Skullcandy wireless earbuds. In addition, beginning today, Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m., anyone that walks near the Hasty Student Life Center will be able to get a special Snapchat filter made just for iBingo.”

Jones expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s iBingo and encourages the entire Reinhardt family to get involved.

“I’m very excited about what we have planned for the campus this time around!  It’s an honor to know I made this kind of impact on Reinhardt’s culture when I was a student, and I’m honored to be overseeing iBingo again this year,” said Jones.  “The only expectation is that everyone have fun!  We want everyone to come out, chill and enjoy current music, as well as past favorites, and even learn about some new music.  The more students, faculty, staff and administrators that come out, the more fun we’re going to have!”
