Entertainment events on campus for the weekend 2/3 to 2/5

It’s lit this weekend at RU! Reinhardt University will be hosting a variety of fun activities to participate in on campus all weekend. Karaoke, laser tag and the annual Super Bowl watch party will all be held on campus for students to partake in.

On Friday Feb. 3, an Acoustic Karaoke Night will be held in the Bannister Glasshouse from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. If you’ve ever wanted to sing with a band now is your chance. The Student Activities Council will provide the music, microphone, lights, lyrics and even a world-class acoustic guitarist. All you have to do is bring your talent and your voice to sing on stage and blow everybody away. So make sure you stop by the Glasshouse Friday night and not only enjoy the show but be the show.

The excitement continues as Reinhardt After Dark (RAD): Laser Tag will take place Saturday night Feb. 4, beginning at 9 p.m. This will also be held in the Glasshouse on campus. Each player will have the opportunity to participate in a laser tag battle game to see who’s got the best skills on campus. The student activities council will provide everything from the high-tech laser guns to a unique environment making the game more fun and strategic. Make sure you get your rest during the day because this event will go on until midnight. Come out Saturday night and be a part of RU’s most lit event of the semester.

To cap off a great weekend, Reinhardt will also host its annual Super Bowl watch party Sunday evening at 6 p.m. This year’s Super Bowl is one to remember as our very own Atlanta Falcons have the opportunity to stamp a place in sports history against the New England Patriots. This final event of the weekend will also be held in the Glasshouse on campus. Free food, a front row seat and a live environment are just a few of the things that will be provided. Make sure you come hungry and ready to watch America’s most popular sporting event with your fellow Reinhardt students and faculty. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m.

“When planning these events, we keep in mind that we want students to make as many memories as possible and get the most out of their time at Reinhardt,” said Student Activities Member Jordan Beach. “This weekend is no exception, and these events should allow everyone to take a break from their busy schedules to just have some fun.”

If you’re a student at Reinhardt and will be on campus this weekend, don’t let yourself be the one to only hear about these action-packed events that will be going on. Come out and enjoy three eventful nights with Reinhardt Central.
