RU Serve

The purpose of RU Serve, one of the many student clubs on campus, is to serve alongside our community for the betterment of others and to help college students become involved by volunteering in the community. Recent projects have included the Hunger Banquet and Veterans Day Clothing Drive.

The club was started by student Alisa Hirani who is the current president.

“I decided to start this organization because I like to serve our community, and I want Reinhardt students to get involve in community service,” Hirani said.

RU Serve is in the process of planning community service projects for the spring semester that will be on campus and off campus.

“There will be one on-campus and one off-campus opportunity a month starting in January. For the spring, we are looking to volunteer with retirement homes, Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, the Salvation Army and other nonprofits in the area,” Meredith Keating, advisor of RU Serve organization and Coordinator for Student Programming and Service, said.

Everyone is welcome to join this organization to help serve the community. To be considered an official member of RU Serve, members must go to two off-campus projects out of the four, and three on-campus projects out of the four each semester.
